Brush Fire - Ten Mile Rd, Limestone, NY - 4/25/20
On Saturday afternoon, the Limestone Fire Department was dispatched to a reported grass fire on the Ten Mile Road near the dead end in the Town of Carrollton. Limestone Chief 2 requested tankers and ATVs from Allegany and Kill Buck put on standby at their halls.
Approximately 10 mins later Allegany and Kill Buck were requested to the scene with manpower and their equipment. A tanker from Seneca Nation Fire Department and UTVs were requested from Weston Mills and Knapp Creek to respond to the scene.
Standby units were dispatched to Limestone (McKean County Station 12) and Allegany (Hinsdale) while the Town of Olean covered Knapp Creek.
Crews were on scene for just over 4 hours. The cause is under investigation at this time.
