Pepperell Firefighters along with multiple mutual aid companies worked a 8 alarm fire at a commercial junkyard and garage. Two separate tanker task forces one from Massachusetts and one from New Hampshire were called due to no hydrants in the immediate area. Firefighters worked for several hours to bring the fire under control. At one point smoke from the fire could be seen for several towns away.
