On the morning of October 14th Lunenburg Firefighters were dispatched to 298 Leominster Rd. for a building collapse. The first arriving personnel found a large corn silo that had collapsed onto a barn that was housing around a dozen cows. The district 8 mutual aid Technical Rescue team was activated. Bringing several towns mutual aid. About a dozen cows were trapped in the barn. Crews worked for around a hour shoring up the barn to get all the cows out.
