10/05/22 Derby, CT - What started out as an EMS run ended as a two alarm fire at this Caroline St. home. Emergency medical services arrived to find fire showing from the second floor of this two story, private dwelling. They requested a box and quickly began removing occupants from the dwelling. Multiple lines were stretched and trucks conducted their searches and topside ventilation as the fire spread to the attic before being brought under control. Companies from Orange, Ansonia, Seymour and Shelton assisted with mutual aid. One firefighter was treated for an unknown injury. The fire marshal's office is investigating the cause.
