03/26/17 New Haven, CT - Firefighters from the west battalion were called to 1599 Chapel St. for a dwelling fire. 1st due companies found a working fire in an occupied dwelling. Multiple lines were quickly stretched for an aggressive interior attack. The fire extended to the third floor before being brought under control. All searched proved negative as the fire was knocked down in about a half hour. The occupants of the dwelling were able to find housing with family and friends.
