05/05/21 New Haven, CT - Firefighters arrived to find a two story, wood frame with heavy fire on two floors. The first due line experienced a burn through while operating, prompting a slight delay in fire attack. Members also received reports that children were trapped prompting the transmission of a second alarm. Multiple lines were stretched and operated as the trucks opened up. The rescue's search proved negative. The fire took about forty five minutes to bring under control. One animal was removed, but died. Two firefighters were sent to the hospital for evaluation. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the New Haven marshals.
