01/13/20 West Haven, CT - Companies from the West Shore section of the city were dispatched around five thirty for a reported house fire. Companies were notified while enroute a second source. The first due engine reported smoke and fire from the number two side of a one and a half private dwelling. Three lines were stretched and operated, and trucks opened up to keep the fire on the first floor. The occupants of the house evacuated prior to the fire department's arrival. One family pet was saved and one perished in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the FMO.
