8/17/21, New Haven Fire was dispatched to 27 Sheffield Avenue for a reported house fire. Upon arrival Engine 8 transmitted a working fire (Signal 73) for a well involved 2.5 story wood. Rescue 1 then arrived on the scene and transmitted a second alarm (Signal 22) for fire extending to the exposure on the D side. Companies worked through several obstacles including wires down and high heat conditions but eventually, they would bring the fire under control.
