Bohemia - Working Fire - McArthur Ave2/6/22
Bohemia N.Y. - On Sunday February 6th At approximately 2:36 PM the Bohemia Fire Department was toned out for a reported residential structure fire in the 900 block of MACARTHUR Street. Chief Thompson (3-12-30) was the first Chief on the road and was advised by fire-com that it was a 2 car garage in the back yard that was on fire. On arrival Chief Thompson was met with fire threw the roof and quickly radioed back to fire-com requesting a re-activation for a working fire (13-35) and to get the pre plan started. Bohemia engine 1 (3-12-1) was the first due engine and was advised by command to pull short of the fire building and stretch 2 lines to the back yard for fire attack and protect exposures. Bohemia Truck 4 , Truck 6 and Tower 3 arrived on scene and quickly went to work with helping extinguish the fire. Lakeland Fire Department was requested to the scene and West Sayville Fire Department was requested to standby at Bohemia’s headquarters. Community Ambulance Company also responded to the scene and set up firefighter rehab. The alarm was placed under control at 3:11 PM and all Bohemia units were back in service by 4:21 PM and the scene was then turned over to the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal for investigation
