Mastic, N.Y.- On January 15, 2023 at about 3:56 PM the Mastic Fire Department and Mastic Ambulance Company were activated for an MVA On Neptune ave near Edgewood St. Chief of Department Gene Martucci advised Fire-Com that he was enroute. Fire-Com advised that there were reports of 2 people trapped.

Engines 5-12-4, 5-12-1 and Rescue 5-12-10 responded in to the scene. On arrival the chief advised the incoming units that they were going to need to put the tools in operation to pop the passenger side door as the passenger was still in the SUV. Crews went to work and quickly extricated the passenger. The drivers were both able to self-extricate. Mutual aid was provided by Mastic Beach Ambulance . 3 people were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

All FD units were back in service by about 4:40 PM .
