On mother's day afternoon, Wakefield Fire struck box 34 for a report of a building fire at the trust company on Main St. Engine 5 arrived and confirmed the address to be Charlie's on main, a well known pizza place with apartments above. Companies had heavy smoke showing with reports of people in the building, and a second, and shortly after third alarm was quickly ordered. Companies had fire on all floors of the building, and several interior hand lines were run to knock the blaze down. Due to some stubborn pockets of fire in the attic, causing the roof to sag, command eventually ordered everyone out of the building and struck a 4th alarm. 3 Ladder Pipes operated to knock down the remaining fire.
