Lawrence firefighters were advised from Police on scene of a house fire in the late afternoon Thursday February 16, 2017. Crews arrived to find heavy fire showing from a large 2.5 story occupied dwelling. Firefighters were forced into a defensive attack to to the heavy fire condition and the rapid progression of the fire.
