3 Alarm Structure Fire - 49-51 Doyle St, Lawrence, MA - 7/20/17
Lawrence firefighters, while out training with their new tower ladder, were dispatched to a reported house fire at 51 Doyle St on Thursday afternoon July 20th 2017.
On arrival, Acting Deputy Chief Zahn reported heavy fire showing from the rear porches, all 3 floors of a 3 story OMD and ordered a working fire followed quickly by a 2nd alarm. The fire extended rapidly up and into the 3rd floor living space and the cockloft prompting an evacuation of the structure. Crews battled thru hot & humid temps and poor water pressure to bring the fire under control. Choef Moriarty did request a 3rd alarm for manpower purposes due to the heat.
Heres a few photos from todays fire. A full gallery wont be ready for a few days, so keep checking back by visiting my Lawrence Fire page on my website at http://www.kdwfirephotos.com/LawrenceFireDepartment/2017-Fires-and-Incidents
