On Sunday night, February 26 2017, Belmont fire crews were sent to 52 Grove St for a reported house fire. On arrival, firefighters had heavy smoke showing from a large 2 story occupied multiple dwelling. The fire originated in the basement and spread thru the 1st and 2nd floor walls and into the cockloft. Captain Wayne Haley, the OIC quickly struck additional alarms to bring in mutual aid assistance from neighboring communities.
