Just after 13:00 on Tuesday afternoon February 28th 2017, Lawrence fire alarm sent out a full box alarm for a reported plane crash near Marston St in their city OR on Interstate 495. At the same time, Methuen Fire received a report of a plane crash into a building on Riverview Blvd. After a confirmation of location, it was discovered that a self built, single engine prop plane had crashed into a large condo building. A small fire in the 3rd floor apartment was quickly extinguished and an investigation by multiple agencies began. The only occupant on board, the pilot, was a 74 year old male who was DOA.
