On Tuesday Evening Around 6:40 all monroe fire departments were dispatched to a confirmed structure fire on Moose Hill Rd. All occupants safely evacuated upon arrival. The fire was in the attached garage with smoke throughout the entire house. Crews quickly cut off the fire before it entered the living areas and had it knocked down within 15 mins. Additional firefighters responded from Stevenson Volunteer Fire Company and Monroe Volunteer Fire Department with a RIT team from White Hills Fire Company. Shelton, Ct. and Huntington Fire Co. 3. Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service, Police and Monroe Ladies Auxiliary provided on-scene support and other mutual aid partners provided station coverage. No firefighters were injured and all units cleared the scene by 8:30. The cause remains under investigation.
