Around 5:25 am the Hartford Fire Department was called to the area of Capen and Garden street for a building on fire on the corner. Engine 7 went en route and reported smoke in the air. Shortly after crews got on scene with heavy fire throughout the second floor. due to the fire conditions command ordered exterior operations only. Companies knocked the bulk of the fire down within a little over an hour
