On July 12, 2016 East Haddam Fire Department hosted a tanker shuttle drill at Nathan Hale-Ray Middle School in Moodus. East Haddam, Haddam, Salem, Chester and East Hampton departments participated. Crews practiced drafting water from a standpipe on N. Moodus Road and shuttling the water to the awaiting portable drop tanks where the water was then pumped to the ladder truck and sprayed from the ladder pipe.
