Spencer firefighters were called for an automobile in the water at Cranberry Meadow Pond. It was unknown if the car was still occupied.

On arrival it was learned that the elderly occupants were removed from the sinking automobile by a gentleman who happened to be fishing in a boat on the pond.

There were no injuries.
