Around 1:30pm today, the Bridgeport ECC received multiple calls of a working structure fire in the area of Vine St and Park Ave. A Charlie-6 box was dispatched, consisting of Engine 1, Engine 3, Engine 4, Engine 7 as RIT, Ladder 5, Ladder 11, Rescue 5, Safety 1, and both Battalions. Engine 3 arrived on scene in moments and reported heavy fire showing from the A-side of the 2 1/2 story wood frame dwelling. Battalion 1 soon struck a 2nd alarm bringing Engine 6, Engine 12, and Ladder 6 to the assignment. Companies battled heavy and deep-seated fire on all 3 floors of the dwelling for around an hour and a half. The Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
