Around 10:45 am on Saturday, December 4, 2021, the Milford Fire Department received a report of a structure fire in the 1 block of Ardmore Rd. First arriving units found heavy fire in the basement, starting to extend to the 1st floor, a second alarm was called. Squad 1, Engine 4, Engine 6, Engine 7, Quint 3, Quint 5, Medic 2, Medic 3, Car 1, and Car 4 responded, as well as the Special Services unit. The fire was quickly brought under control. A cat owned by the residents, unfortunately, passed away. There were no other injuries to humans or animals. The Red Cross is assisting the occupants. The Milford Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of this fire.
