2nd Alarm - 208 5th St Bridgeport, CT - 4/17/2022
On Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, around 12:50 pm, the Bridgeport ECC received calls of a structure fire in the 200 block of 5th St. This Frank-3 assignment consisted of Engine 6, Engine 1, Engine 10, Engine 15 as RIT, Ladder 5, Ladder 6, Rescue 5, Safety Officer 1, Battalion 1 and Battalion 2. Battalion 2 arrived on scene and reported heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor. Companies battled heavy fire on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the dwelling. A 2nd Alarm was ordered after a short time on scene, bringing Engine 3, Engine 4, and Ladder 10 to the scene. Companies were able to get a knock on the heaviest of fire in about 15 minutes. Companies continued to hit hot spots and overhaul over the next hour. Multiple pets were rescued from the home. There were no injuries to people. Red Cross is assisting the occupants. The Bridgeport Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of this fire.
