Around 2:10, Fairfield received a call from a passerby about a brush fire in the backyard of 2575 Black Rock Turnpike. PD arrived on scene and reported a small brush fire that was beginning to spread to other yards. Engine 2 arrived and got to work, soon they requested Engine 5 to secure them a water supply as it was evident their tank water would soon run out. Engine 5 ended up going straight to the scene and feeding Engine 2 from their tank. The fire was under control 40 minutes later.
