Around 2:30pm, Easton Fire Department transmitted a working fire in a house. Stepney Fire Company from Monroe was dispatched to the scene, Fairfield as R.I.T., and Weston for station coverage. Mutual aid was released from the scene around 3:10, and just in time too, companies operating on scene were alerted of a major storm squall that was inbound and would hit the scene with heavy rain and pea-sized hail. I left about the same time, it was not fun driving back home through the squall.
