In the early afternoon of Saturday, February 4, 2023, the Weston ECC received reports of a structure fire in the 1 block of Hemlock Ridge. Arriving units observed fire through the roof of a very large 2-1/2 story private dwelling. A defensive attack was mounted due to fire conditions and water supply issues. Unfortunately, much of the house was completely destroyed in the fire, most of the garage was able to be saved, however. During this call, the Weston ECC received a report of a structure fire in the 1 block of Davis Hill Road, about 550 feet from the original fire building. This would turn out to also be a working structure fire. Firefighters from Weston, Wilton, Westport, Ridgefield, Redding, Georgetown, Monroe, Easton, Trumbull, and even Danbury provided manpower and tankers to these fires. Thankfully there were no injuries to firefighters or occupants of the homes. The Weston Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of these fires.
