About 10am today, Westport dispatch received a call regarding an electrical fire in a home. Responding companies were Engine 2, Engine 4, Engine 5, Engine 6, Rescue 3, Car 2, Car 3, Car 5, FD-1 and the fire marshal, along with Wilton Engine 1 and Truck 5. Companies were updated en route to PD on scene pulling a mattress being pulled out of the house as it was on fire. PD was also reporting additional fire in the structure. Companies had the fire under control in 20 minutes with no extension. Fairfield and Wilton provided mutual aid, and Westport EMS evaluated the homeowners.
