On Sunday, November 13, 2022, around 3:45 pm, the Milford Fire Department was alerted to a possible structure fire in the 2000 block of Bridgeport Ave. Squad 1, Engine 4, Engine 7, Quint 5, and Car 4 were dispatched to the incident. Car 4 quickly arrived and reported smoke showing from a 1-story strip mall. Squad 1 made access to the laundromat and found a dryer fire which they quickly extinguished with a water can. Companies checked for extension and found positive extension to another dryer which was quickly handled. Some smoke did get into a neighboring business but there was no extension of the fire into it. Once companies verified there was no further extension, the fire was placed under control and companies began packing up. Quint 3 also responded to this call. There were no injuries. The Milford Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of this fire.
