Around 5:18pm, the Bridgeport ECC received a call for a fire on the second floor rear porch of a 2 1/2 story OMD, the "George-3" assignment consisted of Engine 1, Engine 4, Engine 7, Engine 12, Ladder 5, Ladder 11, Rescue 5, Safety Officer 1, and both Battalions. On arrival, Engine 7 reported that there was a small active fire at the reported location, but mostly out. Recall was placed and the assignment was held to Engine 7, Ladder 11, and Battalion 1. Crews made quick work of what was left of the fire, after overhaul and inspection by an FM, units cleaned up and returned after about an hour on scene.
