Yesterday’s call sure was an interesting one... Around 4:40pm the Fairfield ECC received multiple calls reporting a teepee on fire at the corner of Twin Brooks Ln and Bronson Rd. The dispatch consisted of Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, Engine 5, Ladder 2, Rescue 1, Squad 14, and Car 3. Engine 4 was first to arrive and reported no active fire, but there was smouldering coming from the teepee. Car 3 arrived and reduced the assignment to Engines 4 and 5, with Rescue 1 and themselves. A small brush fire had also started from embers near the road, but had also self-extinguished. Firefighters worked on overhaul for around half an hour. Traffic control was performed by Fairfield PD. A cause has not been determined at this time.
