Crane Collapse - 2600 Live Oak St. - Dallas, TX - 6/9/19
Early in the afternoon of Sunday, June 9th, weather conditions East of downtown Dallas quickly worsened. As a line of storms rolled into the area wind speeds increased in excess of 60mph and a large swath of damage to trees and utilities began to flood city resources. As this initial spike in the system was happening, reports of a tower crane collapse near downtown sent a full USAR response to the Elan City Lights apartments. Residents were evacuated as a MCI was declared and command requested more resources to the scene. In the day following the damage was said to have caused prolonged evacuation to the entire complex as well as 1 death and at least 6 serious injuries.
