Companies of the 1st, 6th, and 8th battalions worked a 2-11 dwelling fire in the 4500 block of N. Flores St in the cities Alta Vista neighborhood late last night. Company 6 checked out with heavy smoke showing from a large two story, boarded up dwelling. Crews stretched an attack line in an offensive attack but were pulled out due to deteriorating conditions and structural issues at around the 20 min time stamp. Four lines were placed in service until the bulk of the fire was knocked down and crews were able to transition back interior to get the remaining pockets of fire knocked out. Command outtapped the box at the 70 min time stamp.
