This evening, companies of the 8th Battalion were dispatched to a reported Structure Fire in the 1240blk of Babcock Rd, on the cities N.W. side. Engine 27 checked on scene and reported smoke showing and upgraded the alarm to a working fire. Engine 27 laid a preconnect and found heavy content within the apartment, with moderate fire. Engine 19 staged on a "plug" upon arrival, and BC 8-0 assumed command. Crews made quick work of the small fire and held it to the room and apartment of origin.
