The Bexar-Bulverde Fire Department, along with numerous other fire departments worked a challenging 5-11 apartment fire in the 4000 block of TPC Parkway. Engine Co. 104 was initially dispatched to a smoke investigation at the location, and quickly upgraded the response to a full 1-11 after checking on location with smoke and fire within a unit on division 1. First due crews initiated an aggressive interior attack to try and get ahead of the fire. First due crews quickly started evacuating and assisting numerous residents that were still in their apartment units. While checking for extension, members found heavy fire throughout the walls of complex and were eventually forced into a defensive posture due to frozen hydrants/water supply issues and structural instability.
