Engine Co. No. 4 stretched on a working fire in a single story, single family private dwelling this evening in the 400 block of Parland Place. Engine 4 checked out with heavy smoke from the dwelling and advised they'd pulling an attack line. While conducting their primary search, Ladder Co. 6 found a handful of puppies and their mom in the rear of the dwelling, all suffering severe smoke inhalation. Crews pulled the dogs out to the front lawn where they were given oxygen and life saving measures. Command was able to outtap the box at the 10 min time stamp.
