Today, May 26th, 2017, fire departments from across the state and country honored the life of Firefighter / EMT Scott Deem who's Last Alarm was May 18,2017. Scott was assigned to Truck Co. 35 - A and was killed in the line of duty while fighting a 4-Alarm commercial structure fire. Two other firefighters, Brad Phipps (L35-A) and Robert Vasquez (L11-A) were also injured while fighting the fire. Phipps remains hospitalized and in Stable, but Critical Condition. Scott leaves behind a wife, two children and a third on the way. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. "There is no such thing as death. For people only die when we forget about them, and I assure you my sons and daughters, if you remember them, they will always be with you"
